For Promoters: Can I Still Accept Cash at My Events?

Yes, it is still possible to accept cash for racer entries. However, it is mandatory for the racer to be entered into the software in order to be scored, regardless of whether you are utilizing live timing or not. Please note that the fees charged by RaceReady for cash entries may differ from those for online entries.
If you prefer to accept cash on-site, here's a step-by-step guide to ensuring that each racer is registered in the system:
1. Log in to your promoter account and navigate to the Events tab.
2. Locate the specific event in question and click on its menu icon. Then, select "Manage Race."
3. Once you access the race's dashboard, click on the menu icon located in the top right corner of the screen.
4. From the dropdown menu, select "Add a Racer."
5. At this point, you have two options: a. If the racer already has an account in our system, you can search for their profile. Type their name, part of their name, email, phone number, or any other details that may help identify them. Possible matches will appear below. Select the appropriate racer and click "Add to Event." b. If the racer doesn't have an account, you can add a new one for them by choosing "Add New Rider."
6. If you selected an existing racer, proceed to "Purchase new items for user." This will log you into the racer's account on a limited basis, allowing you to complete the purchase steps on their behalf and indicate that you have accepted cash for their registration.
7. Ensure that the racer selects and acknowledges the Terms and Conditions of their participation.
8. On the final screen, when prompted for credit card payment, choose "Use Cash" instead. Please note that you should only do this once the racer has paid you in cash. Upon completing this registration, RaceReady will charge you according to your fee schedule for the racer's participation.
