How to import historic testing data

  1. Navigate to the Test Entry page

  2. Click the "Import Scores" icon located in the top right corner of the test entry page (icon: cloud with an up arrow)

  3. Choose to import data into a previously created test period or create a new one
    ​


​Importing into a previously created test period: after checking the spreadsheet's formatting is correct (detailed below) and making sure the exercise names on the spreadsheet match the exercise names from the test period previously created you may begin with the data import


a. Select the test period from the drop down
b. Click the blue "Use Selected Test Period"
c. Select the file you wish to import
d. Check to make sure the exercises from the spreadsheet (left column) are
correctly mapped to/match the exercises in the test period (right column)
e. Click the blue "Upload Scores" button

​Creating a new test period: after checking that the spreadsheet is formatted correctly (detailed below) you may begin the data import


a. Click the blue "Create New Test Period" button
b. Enter the test's name and data
c. Click "Create Test Period"
d. Select the file you wish to import
e. Check to make sure the exercises from the spreadsheet (left column) are
correctly mapped to/match the exercises in the test period (right column)
f. Click the blue "Upload Scores" button

Formatting Rules:

  • Your roster import file must be an Excel file of type .xls or .xlsx. If it is in another format and does not show up when trying to import a roster, use the Save As function in excel and select Excel Spreadsheet as the file type.

  • The first row of your file must be column headers. The required columns are outlined below, although the headers do not have to match exactly.

  • The first column must contain e-mail addresses matching your athletes. Any athletes that do not exist will be skipped. This is currently required.

  • Each subsequent column should contain an exercise that you wish to import. The column name should match the exercise name exactly. If the exercise does not exist, it will be created.

  • All numbers must be provided as a single number. For example, if you are importing Broad Jump, it must be provided in inches. The numbers will be automatically converted based on your exercise settings.
