How does the writing assistant work?

Written by Anne

Raconteo's writing assistant (the "copilot") is there to support you throughout your interview. It plays the role of an attentive biographer.

What the assistant does: - It reads your answers and asks relevant follow-up questions: "You mention your grandmother — can you describe a specific memory with her?" - It helps you go deeper into an important moment without putting you under pressure - It adapts to what you've already said to avoid repetition

What the assistant does NOT do: - It doesn't make anything up — it works only from what you've told it - It doesn't judge your answers, regardless of their length or style - It never shares your information with other people

When the assistant steps in: The assistant may appear automatically after certain answers, or you can activate it manually via the "Go deeper" button.

Story generation: Once you've answered one or more questions in a theme, your answers can be transformed into a smooth, moving narrative. It's always your story — the assistant simply shapes it beautifully.
