Yes. Raconteo is often used by children or grandchildren who want to capture the story of their parents or grandparents.
Two possible approaches:
1. You manage the entire project You create an account, conduct the interview yourself (asking the questions and transcribing the answers), and compose the book. The person doesn't need to use any device.
Ideal for: people who aren't comfortable with technology, or surprise projects.
2. You help the person use Raconteo You create the account together, install the app on their tablet, and they answer the questions themselves (often by voice). You can check the progress and help if needed.
Ideal for: people who want to be the authors of their own story.
The Guided Plan If the narrator wants extra human support to structure their story, our Guided Plan (available in French) includes 4 sessions with Anne-Charlotte who helps them build their themes and go deeper into their memories. It's the narrator who keeps telling their stories themselves between sessions. This isn't a service where someone else does the project for them.
