We suggest starting with a screenshot of your plugin settings, just in case something goes awry.

First off, head to:

WooCommerce > Settings

Then head to Checkout:

From Checkout, load up the 'Vantiv for Credit Cards' option:

And now you're at the Vantiv plugin configuration screen:

Make a note of your settings - AVS, CVV, and also any modifications you've made to verbiage etc.  All of these values should persist between upgrades, but it can't hurt to make a quick copy.  Alternately, open this window in a new tab, and then leave it while you head over to update the plugin.

To update the plugin, head to Plugins > Installed Plugins as seen here:

You'll want to click on 'Deactivate' first, which will turn off your plugin and prevent anyone from placing orders with Vantiv.

Once you have deactivated the plugin, it will appear differently in the plugin list:

You'll also see that your options for the plugin have changed, and you can now Delete it:

Depending on your version of WordPress, you'll see this message when it's gone:

You're now ready to add the new plugin!

Click on one of these two places to being:

You'll see a list of plugins from the WordPress directory, but you'll want to focus on the "Upload Plugin" option here:

Now your screen will be updated and you'll see a place to upload the Vantiv Payment Gateway Software:

Every computer is going to look a little different here, but you'll want to navigate to the ZIP file you were sent / downloaded from Radial Studios here:

Find the plugin, and open it via your browsers dialog box.

You'll be back to the previous screen, when you're ready then click on 'Install Now' and the plugin will upload and be installed on your site.

You'll want to then click on 'Activate Plugin' as seen below:

At this point you'll be taken back to your plugins page, and you'll have the latest version of the software installed:

You can then head back to the settings either by navigating through WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout or you can take the shortcut here:

Congratulations - you've now updated your site to the latest version of the software.  Double check your settings and consider running a test transaction to make sure everything is still working as expected.
