Hosted Checkout Credentials

You'll need your username and password to get our software to work.

You will want to get the Hosted Checkout username and password for the Merchant account before you get started with your ECOM site.

In limited cases we can deploy the software using only our developer credentials for testing before the Merchant account is ready for transactions.

If you are unsure how to get the credentials, an employee can contact Vantiv customer support and they will walk that person through the process.  Vantiv will require the account owner (or an employee user granted sufficiently high credentials) to issue this themselves, their support team cannot issue the credentials on behalf of the Merchant.

In most cases we have access to the portal and can issue these credentials for you as well.  When we do the installation ourselves we handle this process in house except in rare cases.

The website where these values are accessible is https://portal.mercurypay.com

Once logged in, look for Account Settings in the top right.

If you don't see the following option, you'll want to contact us and we can assist further:

After clicking on Continue, you'll be prompted to 'Generate' your new password.

You can generate new keys here whenever you like.

Make sure you click on the Save button at the bottom to store your new password with Vantiv.

If you are on our latest version of the Vantiv payment plugin, you'll want to head to the WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout area and click on "Vantiv for Credit cards" to load our software.  In the bottom right corner, you should see a chat icon that will open a secure support session with our team.  Paste in your username and password into that window and we'll update your API key credentials, typically within 24 hours.

If you are using an older version of the plugin, then follow these instructions instead. After you have your credentials, you'll want to paste both your Merchant ID and the generated password into your Live credentials field in the plugin:

Finally, when you are ready to go live, scroll up to "Test Mode" and change the plugin to run in Live Mode.
