At Raidboxes, the essential functions from many plugins are already provided by us at server level and thus integrated in a much more efficient way. This means you need fewer plugins overall and your WordPress installation is leaner, more powerful and less vulnerable to security holes.
Delete plugins after migrating to Raidboxes
After migrating to Raidboxes, it’s worth taking the time to remove plugins you no longer need. You can delete the following types of plugins as the functions they offer are already provided by our servers.
Caching plugins
With Raidboxes hosting, your WordPress site already has a powerful server cache so you no longer need a separate caching plugin. In fact, having multiple caching functions active can even affect your page speed or lead to conflicts when delivering the site. If, in spite of the Raidboxes cache, you still want to use a caching plugin, please make sure you disable one of the two functions.
Disable cache in WP Rocket
The WP Rocket Disable Page Caching helper plugin allows you to deactivate the cache function in the optimization plugin WP Rocket.
Backup plugins
Our automatic backup system stores your backups on an external server and not on your Box itself. This system replaces traditional backup plugins that just take up unnecessary space. You can also create manual backups of your Box at any time from your Dashboard.
Security plugins
We take security very seriously at Raidboxes and that’s why we provide complete protection for your site. We take care of many functions at server level so you don't need extra plugins to protect your site, for example, against brute-force attacks. Moreover, we also provide an SSL certificate and help you with block and allow lists.

Are there any restrictions on the WordPress plugins I can use?
You are not subject to plugin restrictions at Raidboxes.
There is one exception: WordPress plugins that require write access to the WordPress core files (incl. wp-config.php). Write access is blocked for security reasons.
Are there any restrictions on the WordPress themes I can use?
You can install any WordPress theme or WordPress Framework (e.g. Genesis
Framework by StudioPress) you like on our Boxes.
