Altcoin Markets let you create, trade, and settle prediction markets using tokens other than USDT. Rain Trade's primary stablecoin is USDT on Arbitrum, but Altcoin Markets support using other tokens natively on Arbitrum for the full market lifecycle.
This opens the door for communities and DAOs to run prediction markets using their own native assets.
$RAIN Markets
Currently, Rain Trade supports the $RAIN token for Altcoin Markets. When you use a $RAIN market, the entire lifecycle runs in $RAIN:
Market creation: Launch a market funded entirely by $RAIN. The minimum liquidity requirement is equivalent to $10.
Liquidity and trading: Liquidity providers add funds in $RAIN, and traders buy and sell shares using $RAIN.
Payouts: All winnings and platform rewards are distributed in $RAIN.
How to find Altcoin Markets
On the home page, in the All Markets section, you can spot Altcoin Markets in 2 ways:
Select the Altcoin tab in the categories list.
Look for the token badge in the bottom left corner of the market card, which shows which token is required to participate.
