You can save a list so that only specific people in your account can see it. This controls who can view and use the list. It does not change anyone's account role or give them access to parts of the app they could not already reach.
List types: List vs. Saved search
When you save, you choose one of two types:
List - a static snapshot of contacts at the time you save. The contacts on it do not change as your database changes.
Saved search - a dynamic set of filters that re-runs each time the list is opened, so the results update as contacts change.
For sharing with a candidate to dial from, a static List is usually the right choice because the set of contacts stays fixed.
Visibility options
When saving, the Visibility dropdown has three choices:
Everyone - all users in the account can see and use the list.
Only me - only you can see the list.
Specific people… - only the users you choose can see the list.
Sharing with specific people
Open the People page and apply the filters you want, or open an existing list.
Click Save As.
Give the list a name.
Under Visibility, select Specific people…
A Share with section appears showing the users in your account. Check the box next to each person you want to share the list with. You cannot uncheck yourself.
Click Save.
The selected users will see the list in their list directory and can open it, use it for dialing, and export from it.
What sharing a list does not do
Sharing a list only makes that list visible to the selected users. It does not:
Change their account role or permissions.
Give them access to any other lists or parts of the account they could not already reach.
Prevent them from seeing other lists that are set to Everyone.
If you need to restrict or expand what someone can do across the whole account, that is an account role setting, which is separate from list visibility.
Changing visibility after saving
After a list is saved, you can change its visibility or update who it is shared with by opening the list's action menu and choosing Edit. This lets you switch between Everyone, Only me, and Specific people…, and update the share list, without saving a new copy.
