Overview

This guide is part of the broader Temp Placement Request process. It focuses on entering contractor details when you're requesting a new placement. This includes selecting an existing contractor or adding a new one, and providing the necessary information for their engagement.

Steps

1. Select the contractor

  • Existing contractor: If you're selecting an existing contractor, choose them from your onboarded contractor list.

  • New contractor: If you're adding a new contractor, enter their first name, last name, and email address.

2. Choose the engagement type

Select the engagement type for the contractor: PSC/Limited, Umbrella, or PAYE.

  • Umbrella: If you know the umbrella company the contractor will use, select it from the drop-down list. No further information will be required, and terms will not be issued.

  • Limited or PAYE: Choose how youโ€™ll provide the terms for the contractor.

3. Provide terms

For Limited and PAYE contractors, you have two options for providing terms:

  • Issue terms for signature: Choose either the Raise standard template or the agency template you provided. To add your own templates, please contact us through the live chat or support@raisetech.io.

  • Upload a signed PDF: For PSC/limited, upload the terms between your agency and the PSC. For PAYE, upload the employment contract.

4. Compliance information (optional)

If you're placing a PSC/limited company contractor, you can decide who will provide compliance information:

  • If you are providing the compliance details, enable "Provide company info".

  • Enter the company's official details, such as the registration location. If the company is based in the UK, you can search by its registration number or company name.

  • If you would like to have the contractor provide this information, leave the "Provide company info" toggle on 'no'.

5. Contractor's proof of ID (optional)

If you've chosen to provide company info, you can also enable "Provide compliance info" to add additional details on behalf of the contractor, such as:

  • Nationality

  • Date of birth

  • Gender

  • Proof of ID

  • VAT registration info in the UK โ€“ this determines whether VAT is applicable on self-billing invoices

6. Payment details (optional)

If you've chosen to provide compliance info, you can also enable "Provide payment details" and add payment information on behalf of the contractor, such as:

  • Placement currency โ€“ the currency used in client payment, earnings payments, and contractor payment must align

  • Bank account location

  • Bank name

  • Account holder name โ€“ the account must be registered to the limited company, not the individual contractor

  • Account number

  • Sort code

  • Bank statement showing the company name and bank account details

If you don't provide these details now, the contractor will be asked to upload them when they approve the placement.
