To get started with setting up the Xero API, you'll need to follow a few steps. This includes logging into a developer account, registering your application, getting API keys, and configuring your app. Here's a simple tutorial to help you get started:
Step 1. Logging into a Xero Developer Account:
Visit the Xero Developer Portal and log in with your Xero credentials.
Once logged in, navigate to the "My Apps" section.
Step 2. Create the Web App
Log in to My Apps and click on “New App”.
Provide a name for your integration and select “Web app” as the integration type.
Specify the Company or application URL: https://app.raisetech.io
Specify Redirect URIs: **https://app.raisetech.io/agency/integrations/xero/callback**
Step 3. Retrieve your client id and client secret
Once your Web app is authorized, you'll find the client id on the app Configuration page, where you can also generate the client secret. Remember, the Client Secret is confidential and must not be shared.
Step 4. Authorise the connection
Provide the Client ID and Client Secret in the Raise platform.
Authenticate Xero with the Raise platform.
Upon successful authentication, you'll encounter the following screen, where you can select your organisation and grant access by clicking "Allow Access.”
Step 5 - Finalize Account Setup
Once your account is established, you'll see the following screen, where you can set the account code for invoices.
