Overview

When winter time comes around, it is important to understand how to care for your Ranchbot monitor.

Snowing

If you are able to access your Ranchbot Monitor, clean any snow off the solar panel. If continued snowfall is expected, we suggest you switch the Ranchbot Monitor off to prevent the battery going flat.

Freezing Conditions

We suggest you switch the Ranchbot Monitor off and remove the monitor and sensor from the tank if daily temperatures are expected to be continuously below 32°F / 0°C. Please handle the sensor carefully as it is sensitive.

We are monitoring all Ranchbot batteries and will advise if your battery is coming to a critically low level.
