Overview

After installing your new pump control and turning your Ranchbot Monitor on, you should automatically see your Pump appear in MyRanchbot for you to set up. However, if this doesn't happen for you, please try the following steps.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Check that your pump's cords are plugged into Port 1 and 2 of your Ranchbot Monitor

A pump has two cords out of the Splitter Box and uses 2 ports in the back of the Ranchbot Monitor. Each cord will have a label on it to tell you if it should be plugged into Port 1 or Port 2.

If you previously had another sensor plugged into the monitor in ports 1 and 2, please move them to another port. For example, if you had a rain gauge plugged into port 1 or 2, move it to ports 3-5.

You can read more about port numbers here.

โš ๏ธ Note: If you have TWO Ranchbot Pump Control boxes, your second box should be plugged into ports 3 and 4.

2. Check if anything could be impacting connectivity of the Ranchbot Monitor

The Ranchbot Pump Control works exclusively with our Duplex Satellite Monitor. While this ensures that our Monitors can work in the most remote locations, the connection to the satellite can be compromised if the monitor is too close to large buildings and other metal obstructions.

For example, if you pump is installed extremely close to a large metal shed, it could impact transmissions.

3. Your Ranchbot Duplex Satellite Monitor may need updating

If you bought your Ranchbot Duplex Satellite Monitor before your Ranchbot Pump Control, we may need to make a remote update to the monitor. While we work our hardest to ensure the relevant updates are made to ensure the smoothest installation experience for you, sometimes we can miss things!

Please reach out to our Customer Service Team on (325) 208-4811
or service@ranch-bot.com and they can make the update for you.
