You can choose to have your pump control Automation or Manual Mode.

Automation Mode

Our Pump Control solution allows you to automate your pumps based on your tank's water levels when it is in Automation Mode.

Automation is completely customizable so that you can set what water levels you wish to trigger the pump to turn on and off. You can also set whether it's a source or destination tank you are pumping to/from. It is also now possible to set a schedule to run the pump once a day from a start and stop time.

For example, you may want your pump to turn on when your source tank level's is 100 inches and to turn off when it is at 20 inches.

Or, you may want your pump to turn on when your destination tank level's is 20 inches and to turn off when it is at 100 inches.

And, you may want your pump to turn on daily between 10pm - 7am during off peak hours to save on energy costs.

Note: To enable Automation, you MUST select a source or destination tank that has a Ranchbot Monitor on it.

Pausing Automation

While the pump is in Automation Mode, pressing the "STOP" button will pause automation. You will see "Auto Paused" when it is in this state. Once you press the "START" button again, automation will resume with your original settings. You will see "Auto Enabled" when in this state.

By pausing automation, you know that the pump will not automatically start until you press start again.

Note: When our system encounters an error while operating in auto mode, it immediately pauses automation to prevent further attempts to turn the pump on and off.

โš ๏ธ Warning: You must cut off your pump's power supply before conducting any work on the machinery.

Manual Mode

When your pump is in Manual Mode, it will only start and stop when you press the button either through the MyRanchbot platform or the Ranchbot Pump Control Box.

It will NOT automatically turn on based on any tank level, tank type or pump schedule settings.

Changing between Automation and Manual Mode

To change between the Modes, click into the Automation Settings by pressing "Automation" in the control panel. Follow the prompts to select either Auto or Manual.

Note: To enable Automation, you MUST select a source or destination tank that has a Ranchbot Monitor on it.

Note: To change between Automation and Manual Mode, the pump cannot be running or have an error status. If you go to the Automation Settings and find the fields are greyed out, please check that your pump is not running or had an error.

How do I know if my pump is in Automation or Manual Mode?

You can quickly see if your pump is in Automation Mode in several places in MyRanchbot.

  1. From the List View

2. In the Control Panel

3. In the Automation Settings
