Background

On Thursday, 15 February, between 5am and 8am PST, Inmarsat our satellite provider, will be undergoing planned maintenance on key parts of their network. As a result, the data transmitted from some Ranchbot Monitors during this time will be delayed until maintenance activities have been completed.

During the maintenance period, this will impact Ranchbot’s ability to start and stop Machine Controllers. No data will be lost, when the maintenance is complete the data will be updated. What this means:

  • Automation: If your Machine Controllers are configured with automation enabled, automation will resume as normal once the maintenance activities are completed.

  • Remotely Start / Stop: If you try to start or stop a Machine Controller during the maintenance period, you will get a communication error and will have to retry later.

  • At the Machine Controller: Starting and stopping Machine Controllers at the controller box will work as normal.

When will this occur?

  • Date: Thursday, 15 February, 2024

  • Time: Between 5am and 8am PST

We apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank you in advance for your understanding. If you have any questions, please contact our customer service team.
