Summary:

Choosing a business sector is an important step of the rankingCoach onboarding process. By selecting your business sector, you will give us an insight into your business and what you offer. Based on the business information you provide us, we will be able to suggest keywords, particular online directories and other SEO tips that will fit your business scope.

You will be asked to add your business sector when setting up your project. All you have to do is enter your business sector in the search bar and select the suggestion that matches your business best.

We currently have over 4000 categories to choose from. If you cannot find a category you like, enter synonyms of your desired business sector in the search bar in order to widen your search range and find the perfect match.

Please note that it is not possible to manually add new business sectors to our existing list.

When adding a business category, keep in mind that one will be your primary category, but you can add a maximum of 10 business sectors that fit under this category. The primary category will be used for the online directories synchronization and your Google Business Profile.

You can edit categories at any time during the setup process by using the pencil icon on the right of your screen.

You can also edit your business category from your rankingCoach dashboard once you are done with the setup. Simply click on “General” and then on “Business” and scroll down to the bottom of the page to make changes.
