Managing a large network of critical suppliers often means navigating through vast amounts of data. Identifying meaningful trends and outliers can be challenging without the right tools.

Matrix Reports simplify this process by providing a high-level snapshot of your counterparties’ latest FHR data. Using intuitive color coding, these reports make it easy to visualize risk patterns and emerging trends across your portfolio.

The Matrix Report is run via the Report Builder section of the Platform. Be sure you've built your portfolio before running!

To generate a Matrix Report, you’ll first need to create a portfolio. Once your portfolio is ready:

  1. Navigate to Rating Analysis > Report Builder in the Rapid Ratings portal.

  2. Select the portfolio you want to run the report for.

  3. Click Run Report to generate the Matrix Report.

After downloading the Excel file, you can filter and extract the data to support deeper analysis or integrate it into more complex workflows.

Example of Matrix Report:

Key Features of the Matrix Report:

  • Comprehensive Company Details

    • Includes company name, ticker/exchange, sector, historical and current FHR scores, latest financial period rated, and RRID.

  • Quarterly FHR Data

    • Displays quarterly FHRs when available

  • The report is structured into three easy-to-navigate tabs:

    • FHR Data by Sector

    • Estimated Probability of Default (EPD) by Country.

    • Core Health Score (CHS) by Company Name.

With the Matrix Report, you can quickly answer critical questions such as:

  • Is my category or commodity at risk?

  • Do I have too many high-risk vendors among my critical suppliers?

  • Should I be making changes to the credit limits I have typically set for this industry?

  • Is my portfolio too low-risk, too high-risk, or optimally balanced?

Once you have this bird’s-eye view, prioritizing where to focus can feel overwhelming. That’s where the Matrix Report’s heat map design comes in. It visually highlights companies by risk level, historical trends, and sector grouping, making it easy to spot patterns at a glance.

  • Because the report is delivered in Excel, you have full flexibility to filter, sort, and segment the data to fit your workflow. From there, you can zero in on the companies that truly require your attention and take informed action.

Once you've run the Matrix report for a portfolio, you can look to some of our company-specific reports such as the Financial Dialogue and FHR Report for further analysis on specific names which stand out.
