Alerts are email notifications that help you stay on top of important updates.
You can create alerts based on specific criteria. Here are a few examples:
A 10-point drop in a company’s most recent Financial Health Rating (FHR)
When a counterparty moves into the High Risk category
Company news, including:
General News
Disasters, Bankruptcy
Mergers and Acquisitions.
Here’s how to set up Ratings Changes and News Alerts for yourself:
Log in to your Rapid Ratings account
Go to Program Management and select Manage FHR Alerts or Manage News Alerts.
Click Create Alert in the upper right corner.
Setting Up FHR Alerts
On the FHR Alerts screen, you’ll be asked to:
Enter an Alert Name (this will appear in your email subject line)
Select a Portfolio of companies to monitor
Choose a Content Type (Text or Table)
Set the Frequency (Daily, Weekly, or Monthly) and Next Run Date
Click the Optional button to select the specific FHR changes that will trigger your alert.
Setting Up News Alerts
For News Alerts, you’ll select:
Alert Name
Portfolio
Alert Times (Time of Delivery)
Alert Types
Alert Status
You can choose which types of news to receive:
General Portfolio News – Best for small groups of companies. Not ideal for large portfolios.
Disasters – Covers industrial, environmental, natural disasters, transportation accidents, and similar events
Bankruptcy – Tracks news stories containing key terms such as “Insolvency,” “Default,” “Chapter 11,” and “Chapter 13”.
Mergers – Includes news on Mergers, Acquisitions, Leveraged Buyouts, Spin-Offs, Divestitures, Tender Offers, and related news
Finally, select Active to start receiving the alert, or Inactive to pause it at any time. Once all selections are made, click Submit at the bottom of the screen.
