Resolving Issues with Leaving Property Reviews on RateMyAgent
Leaving a review for a property on RateMyAgent is a common process for acknowledging your agent’s support. However, users may encounter issues, particularly when the property address is missing, incorrect, or the property status is unresolved. This guide provides step-by-step solutions to address these situations.
Issues with leaving a review on RateMyAgent typically arise from:
Property Address Missing or Incorrect: Address discrepancies happen if the property wasn’t properly linked via the agent’s CRM system or if the input address has inaccuracies.
Property Status Not Updated: If the property is still marked as 'active' rather than 'sold,' reviews cannot be submitted.
Agent Profile Not Claimed: The property might not appear in searches if the agent hasn’t claimed or activated their profile.
Missing Property Address
Request the Agent to Update CRM Feed: - Ask your real estate agent to feed the property details into RateMyAgent through their CRM system, ensuring the property is linked to their profile.
Direct Review Request: - Alternatively, the agent can bypass the address issue by sending you a review request directly through the platform.
Incorrect Property Address
If you notice any inaccuracies in the property details:
Submit a correction request via RateMyAgent, specifying the: - Correct Property Address - MLS Number (if applicable)
The platform will update its records to reflect the correct property details.
Addressing Property Status Issues
On RateMyAgent, reviews can only be left for properties marked as 'sold.' If your property’s status is still 'active':
Contact your agent or their office.
Request them to update the property's status to 'sold' on RateMyAgent.
Once this is done, you’ll be able to leave your review.
Ensuring Agent Profile Activation
If your recently sold property does not appear on RateMyAgent, it could be because the agent:
Has not claimed their profile.
Is not yet active on the RateMyAgent platform.
Encourage your agent to claim and activate their profile. Once this is done, their profile will display all linked properties, enabling you to leave a review.
By following these steps, you can ensure a smooth review submission process and help your agent receive the recognition they deserve.
