Understanding where your data comes from

Updated over a year ago

The data that RateMyAgent relies on to calculate real estate agent and brokerage statistics are gathered in three ways.
โ€‹

  1. RateMyAgent collects supplementary listing and sale information from any sources freely available in the public domain. This information will obviously not include any off-market transaction details or properties that were publicly advertised without a complete address. Any information gathered in this way must be confirmed by the agent or their brokerage administrator within the RateMyAgent platform.

  2. RateMyAgent has partnerships with several Multiple Listing Services and Associations across the country. Through these partnerships, we obtain data by direct IDX or RESO Web API. Email us if you would like to help us partner with your MLS provider.

  3. RateMyAgent allows agents to manually submit listings from the Properties section of their user profile
