Where does Renowned get its data?

Understanding where your data comes from

Written by Madeline Moloney

The data that Renowned relies on to calculate real estate agent and brokerage statistics are gathered in three ways.

Understanding how Renowned sources and manages listing data is essential for creating an optimized platform experience for agents and brokerages.

  1. Renowned collects supplementary listing and sale information from any sources freely available in the public domain. This information will obviously not include any off-market transaction details or properties that were publicly advertised without a complete address. Publicly available data must undergo strict verification to ensure accuracy. Verification ensures that transactions and listings meet the platform’s standards for accuracy and completeness, emphasizing actionable data. Additionally, this data lacks details of off-market transactions or incomplete listings, such as those missing full addresses, and requires user verification to maintain its reliability.

  2. Renowned has partnerships with several Multiple Listing Services and Associations across the country. Through these partnerships, we obtain data by direct IDX or RESO Web API. Email us if you would like to help us partner with your MLS provider.

  3. Renowned allows agents to manually submit listings from the Properties section of their user profile. The platform further integrates with CRM systems to allow automatic syncing of updates with Renowned, streamlining administrative tasks for both agents and office administrators.
