Introducing 3rd Contact Database "Network Partners"
We have improved the Contact database. Now you can have your "Partners" or Network Partners stored in a separate database in Reach, allowing you to better manage your Industry Experts! Inspectors, Mortgage Brokers and other industry-related contacts can be uploaded into a third category, and can also be copied/converted from other categories (Agent and Clients).
This allows you to store your Network contacts outside of your "doing business" clients to keep them better organized or separated. This also gives users the ability to sync (or not sync) categories to devices.
Example: Now Sally (client) can have Derek Mortgage Man (MB) associated/linked to eachother in their Reach profile.
Converting past contacts, to a new category
If you have "Network" type contacts already in your database, we've create a handy process for converting or copying those contacts to another database, examples:
Agent -> Network Partner
Client -> Network Partner
Note: Some users have utilized TAGS to separate their Network Partners within their Clients or Agents. For instance, maybe you've stored your Mortgage Brokers in the AGENTS database, but tagged them Mortgage Broker for better sorting and managing. Now you can select them all, and Convert or Copy.
Steps to convert existing Contacts, follow these steps:
Select the "Client" who you would like to convert to a Network Partner, inside the Contact area (you must give them a check mark next to their name)
From the 3-dot menu, select Convert Contact Category.
Select the option of either Convert To or Copy To. Note, Converting will convert the contact to the new category you select (agent or network partner). Copy To will create a duplicate contact in your system BUT... will append "Network Partner" to their name so that you can differentiate the Contact in your system. This is especially important for those that are syncing their contacts with Google/Outlook. This can be changed at a later time.
