Each LinkedIn sender uses one sender seat. Teammates who only view or admin do not use a seat, and extra senders stay in the workspace with a No seat badge.
Read the seat meter
The meter on Settings → Billing reads used of licensed, for example 2 of 2 sender seats used.
Open Settings → Billing.
Read Sender seats. That number is licenses, not teammates.
If you are at capacity, Billing says "No seats left. Delete a sender or choose a plan with more seats."
If you already have more senders than licenses, Billing names how many are not sending.
No seat is a license badge, not a sender status. Statuses stay Draft, Connecting, Challenge required, Active, and the other sender states. The badge title is "Not sending: no licensed seat."
What happens at the gate
Add sender is blocked at capacity with "No seats left". Creating a sender when the workspace is full also returns "No sender seats left. Choose a plan in Billing." Account Protection then blocks sends from unlicensed senders.
You cannot shrink below the senders you already have. Checkout returns "Cannot license fewer seats than senders already in this workspace." Delete a sender first if you need a smaller quantity.
Complimentary seats
Some workspaces show a Complimentary badge. Billing then says "Seats are complimentary, so there is nothing to pay. Subscribing to a plan replaces them for good." Complimentary seats are still seats. They license senders the same way.
