How to Integrate Clio with Realaml & Run KYC/CDD Verifications

Step 1: Create a Realaml Account (For New Users)

If you’re new to Realaml, follow these steps to create an account before connecting Clio:

  • Enter your email and trading name.

  • Verify your email and log in to your new account.

āœ… Your Realaml account is now set up!

Step 2: Connect Clio to Realaml

  • Log in to your Realaml account.

  • Navigate to the Integrations tab.

  • Click Connect next to Clio.

  • Enter your Clio login credentials and complete the connection.

āœ… You're now connected!

Step 3: Run a KYC/CDD Verification

  • Go to the Run Checks tab in Realaml.

  • Select your preferred verification type.

  • Use the Clio search field to find a Matter using the Matter Number or Matter Description.

  • Select the Matter—Matter Contacts will automatically import.

  • Review the pre-filled contact details, ensuring all required fields (e.g., Date of Birth) are complete.

  • Check the Consent box and click Run Check.

Step 4: Verify Additional Clients

To verify multiple clients under the same Matter, simply repeat Step 3 for each additional client.

Step 5: Accessing Verification Reports in Clio

Once verifications are complete, access your reports directly in Clio:

  • Open Clio and navigate to the relevant Matter.

  • Click on Documents—your Realaml verification PDFs will be stored here.
    ​

  • Go to Activities to view verification costs associated with the Matter.
