1. Information Required from Aderant
To set up the integration, please request the following details directly from Aderant and share them with our team:
OAuth URL (for authentication)
Client ID
Client Secret
API URL for the QueryService
Swagger API Documentation
Tip: Aderant typically provides these details in a document titled:
"Aderant Expert Integration Guide for [Your Firm's Name]"
2. Authentication via Okta
Aderant Expert’s APIs require authentication through Okta.
Aderant will create a Client ID and Client Secret in Okta.
They will also set up an employee record in Expert with API access.
You will need to provide us with:
The OAuth URL
The Client ID and Client Secret
The Okta Org URL and Tenant ID (both provided by Aderant)
3. API Access & Endpoints
Aderant’s QueryService API provides access to client and matter data.
Access requires:
A Windows account with Expert system permissions
API permissions configured within Aderant Expert
4. Environment Setup
Separate credentials are required for PROD and TEST environments.
Aderant will provide:
PROD API endpoint URL and PROD credentials
TEST API endpoint URL and TEST credentials
5. Important Notes
Aderant does not provide integration details directly to Realaml. Law firms must request the integration document from Aderant.
All integration details must be obtained directly from Aderant.
API permissions must be correctly configured within Aderant Expert.
