When you log in to Reality Defender, you'll automatically see the dashboard. This is your starting point for monitoring scan activity, accessing your products, and managing your account.
Scan activity
The main dashboard displays a metrics panel and three charts summarizing your organization's detection activity. Admins see activity across the entire organization. All other users see their own scans only.
Total scans
Overall scan count with a breakdown by media type: image, video, audio, and text.
Scan frequency
Scan volume over time, broken down by conclusion (Authentic, Manipulated, Suspicious). Filter by media type to narrow the view.
Scans by result
Distribution of conclusions across all media types, shown as a percentage.
Scans by source
Which source is driving the most scan volume, shown as a percentage of total scans.

The left sidebar gives you access to the platform.

Note: Products not included in your plan appear greyed out with an Upgrade option.

Managing users and API keys
Admins and Owners can manage team access and API keys from the dashboard. Some options may vary depending on your account type and role.
Invite new users
On the Team page, admins and owners can invite new users by entering the user’s email address, assigning a role, and sending an invitation. The invited user receives an email with a link to set up their password and activate their account.
Update or remove users
On the Team page, admins and owners can update an existing user. The menu at the end of the row includes options to manage the user or remove the user from the team.
Removed users immediately lose access to the dashboard. If the user has API keys tied to their account, those keys should be reviewed or revoked as needed.
Manage API keys
From the API Keys page, admins and owners can manage keys for RealScan and RealCall.
RealScan — create, rename, enable/disable, or delete keys.
RealCall — create or delete keys.
Newly created keys should be copied and stored securely.
Manage Webhooks
From the Webhooks page, admins and owners can manage webhooks for RealScan and RealCall.
RealScan — add or delete webhooks.
RealCall — enable/disable, edit, or delete webhooks.

RealScan settings
On the Settings page, admins can configure how uploaded media is processed and analyzed.
Preprocess audio
Preprocess audio helps detect ringtones, poor audio quality, cross-talk, and other audio conditions that may affect manipulation detection.
When enabled, Reality Defender performs this preprocessing step before analysis.
Delete original files after analysis
Delete-after-analysis, sometimes referred to as zero retention, means Reality Defender deletes customer-submitted media after analysis. Detection results and limited operational metadata may still be retained so the product can display results, support API or webhook responses, and maintain service records.
Enable context models
Context models add an additional analysis layer that evaluates media files for contextual signals and additional metadata.
When enabled, Context Aware analysis may provide additional insight into scan results. Because this adds processing, it may also increase scan latency compared with scans where context models are disabled.
Enable metadata analysis
Metadata analysis adds a preprocessing check that reviews media metadata, such as EXIF or AAC metadata, for markers of AI generation or manipulation.
When enabled, Reality Defender reviews available metadata as part of the scan workflow.
Enable automatic audio analysis
Automatic audio analysis applies to video files.
When enabled, audio from videos is automatically extracted and analyzed in addition to the video. Each video costs 2 credits: 1 video credit and 1 audio credit.
When disabled, only the video is analyzed, and the scan costs 1 credit.
