How does Reality Defender detect image-based deepfakes?

Reality Defender uses machine learning to detect image-based deepfakes. We use the latest and greatest (state-of-the-art) deep learning methods (visual transformers, for example) and train them on our in-house dataset. We simulate real-world images by compressing them and using these to make our models robust.
