Auto Nurture Benefits

Auto Nurture gives you peace of mind that no matter the size or complexity of your marketing database, every contact gets the information they need and the user experience they want, all within an online experience you control. Whether you’re a luxury agent focusing on a handful of transactions, or a team generating tens of thousands of leads, Auto Nurture is a game-changing tool to maximize impact and increase your GCI.

Auto Nurture consists of the following:

  1. Email Alerts: Automatically sends relevant listing alerts, home value alerts, and/or market activity alerts to your contacts.

  2. Auto Updates: Search criteria will be updated based on contact activity.

  3. Email Drips: If no data is associated with your client's contact record, we will send an email campaign that encourages them to add their Address (to receive a Home Value Alert) or view properties (triggering the auto-creation of a Property Alert). View the emails we'll send them here.

How to Set Up Auto Nurture

Watch this 10-minute training video that explains how to set up Auto Nurture:

Auto Nurture is fully configurable on the Auto Nurture page of your dashboard. Create a powerful lead nurture and conversion workflow by connecting RealScout to the lead sources and CRMs you already know and love, and customize your nurturing plan - we’ll take care of the rest. Based on the information in their contact record, we’ll automatically set them up with relevant alerts, prompt them to complete their profile, or engage them with auto-recommended listings. You can also navigate to any contact’s profile and toggle the Auto Nurture switch manually for individual setup, granting flexibility in managing alerts and campaigns. Auto Nurture emails are specifically sent to contacts with relevant tags selected within your settings. Contacts without these tags are not automatically enrolled but can be added manually to ensure they receive nurturing campaigns.

How Auto Nurture Works

Based on the information in your contact record, including any tags selected in your Auto Nurture settings, your client will receive one or more of the following automated alerts or email drip campaigns. Contacts without specific tags must be manually enabled to be part of these campaigns.

Automatic Listing Alerts

If a contact record contains a viewed listing address or an inquired listing address, Auto Nurture will automatically create a Listing Alert, setting the search criteria to the listing zip code, the list price plus 20% and minus 30%, and the property type. This means your contacts will always stay up to date on the latest listings that match their criteria. The default listing alert schedule is Daily. No, we won't spam your clients with emails everyday. Instead, they may receive up to 3 emails per week on match days, which can be Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.

Automatic Listing Alert Updates

Listing alerts generated from the Auto Nurture process will update once per day based on activity performed by the contact. The search criteria will evolve to include expansions in price range and location preference based on the property views and actions of the contact.

Automatic Home Value Alerts

If a contact record contains an owned property address, Auto Nurture will automatically create a Home Value Alert for that property. These alerts will let your contacts know about the current market value of their home. Home Value Alerts are sent monthly by default, but you can change this frequency on your Home Value Alert settings page.

Automatic Market Activity Alerts

If our Home Value Alert valuation partners do not provide a valuation for your client based on their address, your client will instead receive a Market Activity Alert based on their property’s zip code.

Automatic Email Drip Campaigns

Everyone who is set to Auto Nurture will receive an email drip campaign. If a contact is not set up with an alert already, RealScout will set them up a Listing Alert or Home Value Alert. We will also send them Popular Homes in their area. View the email sequence here.

NOTE: The listings in the "Popular Homes in Your Area" emails are based on the most viewed listings within a 3, 5, 10, or 25-mile radius of your default map location, which can be updated on your Auto Nurture Settings.

Primary Email Verification

Please note that the first email address entered is considered the primary email. Primary emails undergo a verification process; if found invalid, they will be paused until updated and verified. This ensures the reliability and effectiveness of our communication channels.

Managing and Disabling Auto Nurture Alerts

To manage or disable Auto Nurture for a specific contact:

  1. Open the contact’s profile from the Contacts page.

  2. Make sure the Auto Nurture switch is turned "Off."

  3. Review all active alerts (e.g., search alerts) and disable them from the profile if necessary. For bulk management of multiple contacts:

  • Go to the Nurture tab under the Contacts page.

  • Select the desired contacts, choose “More Options,” and click on "Archive." Archiving will disable all RealScout alerts for those contacts, with an option to unarchive later.

Fallback Templates for Auto Nurture

You can now setup back up a Fallback Listing Alert Template and a Fallback Market Alert Template within your Auto Nurture settings. The Fallback Templates will serve as a backup option when a contact does not generate an alert from our automation or does not respond to the Drip Campaign.

If a drip campaign is suppressed, an alert will be generated the following day if no actionable contact data is available. Below is a closer look at the settings!

Here's how to access it: Click "Auto Nurture" under "Automations" on the left-hand navigation bar, and click "Update Settings":

Next, scroll down to Fallback Templates. Reminder that these templates you are setting up are a backup if the Drip Campaign is unsuccessful in creating an alert (after several attempts).

You will see a drop-down menu where you can select your saved Alert Template. If you don't have any templates saved, you can create a new template using the link provided.

Troubleshooting Alert and Notification Behaviors

If contacts continue to receive alerts even after Auto Nurture is disabled, consider these factors:

  • Recent Email Activity: Previously delivered emails may still be opened by leads, reflecting in the activity logs even when Auto Nurture is disabled. Check the Recent Activity section in a contact’s profile for insights.

  • Standalone Alerts: Other alert types, such as Home Value or Listing Alerts, operate independently from Auto Nurture. These need to be managed directly through their respective dashboards to stop notifications.

What Is the Difference Between Nurture and Auto Nurture?

  • Nurture: A status indicating that a contact has at least one active alert (e.g., search, market activity, or home valuation).

  • Auto Nurture: An automation feature that proactively assigns and manages alerts, ensuring consistent engagement without manual intervention.

Does Auto Nurture Work for All Contacts?

Yes, Auto Nurture works across your database—buyers, sellers, homeowners, and more—but emails are specifically sent to contacts with selected tags configured in your settings. Untagged contacts can still be added manually, ensuring flexibility in targeting. Configuration settings can be adjusted for tagged contacts or the entire database.

FAQs About Auto Nurture

  • Does disabling Auto Nurture stop all alerts? No. Disabling Auto Nurture prevents its email campaigns, but other alerts (e.g., saved searches or market activity) must be manually disabled in their relevant settings.

  • Why are some contacts not receiving Auto Nurture emails? Emails are sent only to contacts with tags configured in your Auto Nurture settings. Untagged contacts must be added manually to these campaigns.
