The Email Drip Campaign consists of a series of automated emails we call Drip Campaigns. When Auto Nurture is enabled, the contacts with zero alerts are then engaged via Drip Campaigns, requiring no manual follow-up; just set it up from you!
Who receives the drip emails?
Only contacts with zero active alerts are enrolled in the Auto Nurture email drip. This applies whether contacts came from a CRM, were added manually, or came from another source.
Note: Contacts who already have a Listing Alert, a Home Value Alert, or both may receive fewer emails or none at all. See the table below.
Which emails does each contact receive?
Contact's alert status | Emails received |
No alerts | All emails: Welcome → Popular Homes → What's My Home Worth → monthly Popular Homes |
Has a Listing Alert only | Welcome + What's My Home Worth (Day 10) only |
Has a Home Value Alert only | Welcome + Popular Homes (Day 5) + monthly Popular Homes |
Has both a Listing Alert AND a Home Value Alert | No emails |
The email sequence
Day 1 Welcome Email
Introduces your contact to their RealScout account with two calls to action: viewing new listings and tracking their home's value.
The email subject line reads: The best resource for new listings and your home's worth.
Within the email, as shown in the image below, will have the following clickable action options:
The "View Listings Now" button links to your homesearch page.
The "Track Home Value" button links to your "What's My Home Worth?" page.
Note: This email is skipped if the contact already has both a Listing Alert and a Home Value Alert.
Day 5 Popular Homes In Your Area
Shows your contact the most-viewed listings near your default map location.
The email subject line reads: Popular Homes in Your Area
Note: Skipped if the contact already has a Listing Alert.
Day 10 What's My Home Worth
Prompt your contact to check their home's value and see how it compares to recent sales in their neighborhood.
The email subject line reads: Keep track of your home's value
Note: Skipped if the contact already has a Home Value Alert.
Ongoing Monthly Popular Homes Drip
This ongoing email is sent 1 time per month on the same date each month. Continues to surface popular listings near your map location. Your "area" is either the Default MLS Area or a custom, agent-chosen map location.
The email subject line reads: Popular Homes in Your Area
Note: Skipped if the contact has a Listing Alert.
What determines which listings appear in the Popular Homes emails?
The listings shown are the most-viewed homes within a radius of your Default Map Location. You can set the radius to 3, 5, 10, or 25 miles. The default map location can be changed in your Profile settings or on your Auto Nurture settings page.
To update your Default Map Location or listing radius:
Click your name in the top-right corner and select Profile, or go to your Auto Nurture settings page.
Under Default Map Location, type an address to center your map.
Under Radius for Listings, select your preferred distance from the dropdown.
Your changes apply to all future Auto Nurture emails.

When does Auto Nurture stop sending?
Auto Nurture stops — fully or partially — when any of the following happens:
Contact unsubscribes → All Auto Nurture emails stop.
Contact gets a Listing Alert (manually created or triggered by their activity in RealScout) → Listing-focused emails stop.
Contact gets a Home Value Alert (manually created, or triggered when a contact enters a home address) → Home value-focused emails stop.
Can I stop the Drip Campaigns?
Yes, on the Auto Nurture settings page, scroll down to the Suppress Email Drip Campaigns section.
When the drip campaign is off, only contacts with actionable data will have alerts created for them, meaning contacts actively engaging with RealScout by viewing properties or entering their home value. RealScout will not send the welcome email, popular homes email, or the home value email.
Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I enroll specific contacts in Auto Nurture instead of all contacts?
Yes. You can enable Auto Nurture for your entire account or for individual contacts. Only contacts with zero active alerts will receive the drip emails, regardless of how Auto Nurture is enabled.
Generally, what alerts can be created based on contact activity?
Any listing view can generate a Listing Alert. Entering a home address can trigger a Home Value Alert or, if unavailable, a Market Activity Alert using the zip code.
What contact activity automatically creates a Listing Alert?
Any listing view in RealScout can generate a Listing Alert for that contact.
What contact activity automatically creates a Home Value Alert?
When a contact enters a home address in RealScout, a Home Value Alert is created. If a property valuation isn't available in ATTOM data, a Market Activity Alert is created using the home's zip code instead.
My contact has no alerts. Why aren't they receiving the Day 1 Welcome email? The drip starts the day after Auto Nurture is enabled for a contact. If the contact was enrolled today, the Welcome email will be sent tomorrow.
Can I customize the email content or timing?
The email content and send schedule are fixed and cannot be edited. We'd love to hear your feedback on what specific feature or areas you would like to customize.
What if my contacts already have an alert?
In summary:
If your contact has a Listing Alert already, they’ll get the Welcome email and the “What’s My Home Worth?” email.
If they have a Home Value Alert, they’ll get the Welcome email, Popular Homes email, and “Start Searching" email, then continue getting the Popular Homes email on a monthly basis.
If they have a Listing Alert AND a Home Value Alert, they don't get the Welcome Email or any of the other drip emails.
If they have no alerts, they’ll get the entire email drip series.
When does Auto Nurture stop?
If a contact unsubscribes, then AutoNurture stops.
If a contact creates a listing alert (or has an alert created for them based on activity in RealScout),then AutoNurture stops the listing focused part of the drip campaign.
If a contact has an HVA created for them, then Auto Nurture stops the HVA focused part of the drip campaign.
