Follow Up Boss (Follow Up Boss) is an two-way CRM integration that allows the account owner in Follow Up Boss to connect their account to their RealScout account. The connection allows FUB account owners (and eligible team members) to use Follow Up Boss with their RealScout accounts.
If you are team member or admin on a Follow Up Boss team NOT using RealScout: Zapier is how you'll connect your FUB account to RealScout.
If your Team Owner has already confirmed they've enabled Team Connect, please update your RealScout account's email address so it matches the sign-in email address in Follow Up Boss.
Integration Steps for Solo Follow Up Boss Owners or a Team Owner
If you are an individual user or Team Owner looking to connect your Follow Up Boss account to RealScout, follow these steps:
Navigate to Integrations Page: Go to the Integrations page RealScout.
Connect Your FUB Account: This is done by providing your API key. Your API key can be obtained from your Follow Up Boss Admin settings.
If you are a team member or user whose FUB Team Owner is not using RealScout, do not request/use an API key from their account.
If you are an admin or team member in this scenario, you'll need to use Zapier until your Team Owner sets up a RealScout account.
This setup will link your individual Follow Up Boss account to your RealScout account. This will also allow a FUB team owner with a RealScout Team account enable auto connect for team members.

In order to connect RealScout to Follow Up Boss, the account owner needs to log into followupboss.com and navigate to Admin → API. Here you’ll need to generate an API key and save it.
Creating an API key
Once the API key is created, sign into your RealScout account and navigate to www.realscout.com/agent/marketing/integrations. Enter in your API key and click Connect Account:
Now that you've connected your account you have a few different configuration options available to you.
Configuration Options:
Enable your RealScout → Follow Up Boss integration in order to:
Create and backfill people into your RealScout contacts.
See address and name updates for contact when changes are made to people in Follow Up Boss.
This means that Follow Up Boss will always try overwrite your Contact Detail changes in RealScout, since Follow Up Boss is your connected CRM.
Have Contacts deleted, in RealScout, when you Trash or Delete People in Follow Up Boss.
You can leave this setting off to prevent accidental contact deletion in RealScout.
This is a 1-way deletion where RealScout contact deletions (by you/the contact) do not change the state of your Follow Up Boss Contact
Transfer contacts across your connected and active RealScout team members when you use the Follow Up Boss Integration assign (change assigned agent) for any people in Follow Up Boss.

Transfer clients in RealScout to a team member with a valid RealScout account. When utilizing the Follow Up Boss Team integration you can assign a lead to a team member on Follow Up Boss and that client will then also be transferred on RealScout.
Turning this on, by itself, will not transfer RealScout contacts to an admin/co-agent or other Follow Up Boss team member who is not using RealScout with you in a Team configuration.
If a lead is reassigned in Follow Up Boss to someone without an active RealScout account, the lead remains under the existing RealScout agent’s contact list, and any ongoing nurturing or automations continue uninterrupted on RealScout.
When connected and automatic sync is enabled:
Follow Up Boss acts as the primary system of record for contact ownership.
This means any changes made to lead assignments in Follow Up Boss are automatically reflected in RealScout, ensuring a synchronized ownership structure across platforms.
Ensuring you're connected as a Team, in RealScout can be done using the support options in your account.
Now you can click CONNECT TEAM MEMBERS you'll also want to be sure to select Transfer Leads:
Be cautious when removing an existing team member, as it may lead to the loss of leads connected via the Follow Up Boss integration.
Review this with your team member, ISAs, admins, co-agents, and any team member supporting your lead management in Follow Up Boss.

Delete Contacts in RealScout when the leads stage is updated to 'Trash' or the lead is permanently deleted in Follow Up Boss.
If a lead is deleted in Follow Up Boss, the corresponding RealScout contact will be deleted.

Tags must be pasted or typed one at a time.

Before reassigning a contact in Follow Up Boss, confirm that the team member has an active RealScout account.
Regularly audit Contact/People assignments in both Follow Up Boss and RealScout.
Notify all concerned team members about changes to minimize confusion and mismanagement.

Yes, Contacts (People) in Follow Up Boss automatically sync to RealScout as long as they have an email address, the integration is enabled, and configured correctly. You can choose between syncing all contacts or filtering based on tags, and can always sign up for a replay or quick training about setting up Follow Up Boss here.
What happens if syncing based on tags doesn’t work?
Check that the tag names in Follow Up Boss match exactly what you’ve entered in RealScout integration settings. Tags are not case-sensitive: only spelling/symbol/character sensitive.
What if People from Follow Up Boss are not showing in any of my Contacts tabs, in RealScout, even they have a valid email address in Follow Up Boss?
Ensure that the integration is turned on and no required tags are missing on your Follow Up Boss contact's account.
