Selling a Watch or Fine Jewelry? Your Timeline is a Little Different

Watches and Fine Jewelry require an extra week of careful inspection. Here's the adjusted week-by-week timeline so you know exactly what to expect — from receipt to payout in your Wallet.

Watches and Fine Jewelry are complex pieces — clasps, movements, settings, and stones each need careful, expert review. To do that well, our specialists need an extra week with your item. Here's what your timeline looks like.

The big picture for Watches and Fine Jewelry: From the day we receive your item, the full process — through white glove inspection, listing, and payout to your Wallet — takes approximately 37 to 52 days. That's about one week longer than other categories.

WEEK 1 — YOUR ITEM IS IN TRANSIT

Same as other categories: typically 5 to 7 business days for your shipment to reach us. You'll see "Received" in your Submissions section when your item arrives.

In-store drop-off note: All Watches and all Fine Jewelry — regardless of value — are shipped from the store to our home office for processing. Your timeline begins from when our home office receives the item.

WEEKS 2 AND 3 — IN WHITE GLOVE INSPECTION

For Watches and Fine Jewelry, white glove inspection takes approximately 2 weeks rather than 1. Our specialists are giving your piece the careful review it deserves — looking at movement, complications, stones, settings, hallmarks, and condition.

Watch for a revised offer email during this period. If our inspection finds a detail that affects your quote, we'll send you a revised offer. These emails sometimes land in your spam or junk folder — please check there if you haven't heard from us by the end of Week 3.

WEEK 4 — QUALITY CONTROL AND LISTING PREPARATION

After inspection, your item moves through a final quality check and is prepared for listing on Rebag.com. You may see your item appear publicly during this week — that's a sign your piece has cleared review and is on its way to being officially listed.

Seeing your item listed does not mean your payout has been issued. Listing and payout run on separate timelines.

WEEK 5 — PAYOUT PROCESSING

Your payout enters our standard processing cycle. No action needed from you.

WEEKS 6 TO 7 — YOUR PAYOUT LANDS IN YOUR WALLET

Between day 37 and day 52 after we received your item, your payout will appear in your Rebag Wallet, ready for you to use or extract.

  • Use it as Rebag credit at checkout, or withdraw to your bank.

  • Withdrawals made within 15 days of funds landing in your Wallet are subject to a 3% processing fee. After 15 days, withdrawals are free.

When should you reach out to us? If it has been more than 52 days since we received your Watch or Fine Jewelry piece and you don't see your payout in your Wallet, please contact us and we'll look into it right away.
