WHAT ITEMS CAN I TRADE IN WHEN PLACING A TRADE ORDER?
Any item for which you have a valid offer can be added to your cart as a trade-in. This offer can be an Instant Offer, Infinity Offer, or an offer you received after submitting images. The offer's value will be credited in Rebag Credit, which you can apply to purchase any desired item.
WHAT ARE THE TAX SAVINGS ASSOCIATED WITH TRADE?
Some US states allow buyers to perform trade-in transactions to save on sales tax. This is very similar to the automotive industry, when someone trades an old car to buy a new one. In those locations that offer this tax-saving benefit, the sales tax is only charged on the remaining balance of the trade transaction instead of charging sales tax on the total purchase price of the new item. This is only allowed in certain states and depends on local regulations. To determine eligibility, please enter your shipping address at checkout, and taxes will be calculated automatically.
WHERE DO I SEE THE UP TO 15% HIGHER QUOTE FOR TRADE?
Trade offers are valued up to 15% more than the seller fund price for your items.
If you opt for a Trade, which means buying and selling a bag simultaneously, you will receive a Trade Credit offer up to 15% higher than a base quote paid in Buyout. Additionally, you may enjoy a tax benefit for selected states since you only have to pay taxes on the difference paid in cash instead of the total value of the item you purchase.

All the details of your Trade order are available at My Account > Trades.
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO SEND MY ITEMS TO REBAG AFTER PLACING A TRADE ORDER?
To ensure a smooth trade process with Rebag, please use the FedEx label provided by Rebag to ship your items within 72 hours. Failure to do so may result in canceling your Trade order and re-listing your purchased item(s). If you would like to drop off your items at a Rebag Store, please do so within 72 hours to avoid canceling your Trade order and re-listing your purchased item(s).
I WANT TO PLACE A TRADE ORDER, BUT I WAS ASKED TO SUBMIT IMAGES TO GET AN OFFER FOR MY ITEM — WHEN WILL I GET AN OFFER FOR MY SUBMISSION SO I CAN TRADE?
We cannot offer instant offers for some items and may request images to provide an offer. Creating an image submission via the "Trade" option will be marked as a high priority, and our team will provide an offer within 48 hours, sometimes faster, if it is between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. ET Monday through Saturday. However, if you submit an image outside of these hours, on a Sunday or in the evening, please allow up to three business days for our team to provide a valuation.
I SENT MY ITEMS IN, BUT I WANT TO BUY SOMETHING ELSE NOW — CAN I CHANGE OR SWAP?
Unfortunately, Trade orders cannot be edited, and you will have to cancel your order, receive Rebag Credit, and use it toward your next purchase. Please get in touch with us to see how we can best accommodate your request via chat, phone, or email contact@rebag.com.
CAN I CHANGE MY TRADE ORDER ONCE IT'S PLACED? WHAT IF I NO LONGER WANT TO TRADE MY ITEMS?
Trade orders cannot be edited after placing them; they can only be canceled or finalized. If you need any help with your Trade order, contact us via chat, phone, or email contact@rebag.com.
CAN I CANCEL MY TRADE-IN AFTER I SHIP THE ITEMS TO YOU? I NO LONGER WANT TO SELL/PURCHASE.
You can request to cancel a Trade order until it’s finalized, which takes about 24 hours after Rebag receives your trade items. After that, your trade-in items are owned by Rebag, and you can only get a refund for the thing you purchased as a combination of a cash refund (for the amount you paid out of pocket) and Rebag Credit for the Rebag Credit value of your trade-in. If you cancel before the Trade order is finalized, you will be refunded, and your items will be returned to you.
I PLACED A TRADE ORDER RIGHT BEFORE A SALE STARTED. CAN I APPLY ADDITIONAL DISCOUNT CODES ON MY TRADE?
Sales only apply to applicable purchases made during the sale period. Orders placed before or after a specific sale period are not eligible for the discount.
WHAT IF THE VALUE OF THE ITEM(S) I TRADE CHANGES ONCE RECEIVED AND PROCESSED BY REBAG?
Once Rebag receives the item(s) you are trading, they are reviewed and evaluated. For orders with a single item being sold, the outcome of the evaluation for the item will be one of the following:
The item is of the expected value.
Nothing changes, Rebag accepts the item, and your Trade order can be finalized.The item is of higher value than expected.
So that you know, you will be informed of the higher value. You will receive a partial refund on the initial order (if anything was paid at checkout) or some additional Rebag Credit (if you sold for more than you bought in your initial Trade order.The item is of lower value than expected.
So that you know, you will be informed of the lower value and can accept or reject the updated offer. You will be asked to pay the remaining balance if you get the revised decreased offer. If you leave the updated proposal, you can pay the remaining balance to finalize the purchase of the items you are buying, and we will send the declined item(s) back to you.Rebag rejects the item.
So that you know, you will be informed of the rejection. You can still pay the remaining balance to finalize the purchase of the items you are buying, and your item will be returned to you.
For lower offers and refused items, if you don’t take action to accept/reject the update within 72 hours, Rebag may cancel the entire Trade order.
If your Trade contains multiple items, the above-defined outcomes will apply to individual items. Any lower offer or item rejection will require you to take action, but the final remaining balance will result from each item's combined outcome.

WHAT IF I AM TRADING IN FOR MORE VALUE THAN THE NEW ITEM(S) I AM BUYING? Please let me know if I need to pay anything when I check out. WILL I GET MY MONEY BACK ONCE THE TRADE IS FINALIZED?
If the item(s) you are trading in has a higher value than the new item(s) you are purchasing, you can checkout without paying anything other than your shipping option. All final fees are calculated at checkout, but a $0 transaction is possible! If the value of your trade exceeds what you are purchasing, you will receive the difference in Rebag credit once your items are received and processed.
I AM ASKED TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL AMOUNT TO FINALIZE MY TRADE — WHY IS THAT?
When Rebag evaluates the items you’ve traded in, if the outcome is a rejection or a lower value than expected, you must pay a Trade adjustment fee to finalize your Trade order and receive the new items you purchased. The Trade adjustment fee covers the difference between the expected value of the item you used to checkout initially and the actual value once reviewed by Rebag, plus tax if applicable.
I HAVE TO PAY A TRADE ADJUSTMENT FEE TO FINALIZE MY ORDER; HOW DO I PROCEED WITH THAT EXTRA PAYMENT?
The link to pay for the Trade adjustment fee is accessible via My Account > Trade. Remember that you only have 72 hours to pay the remaining balance, or Rebag may cancel your entire Trade order. If you need help with paying the adjustment fee, contact us!
I WANT TO RETURN THE ITEM I BOUGHT. CAN I GET THE ITEM I TRADED IN BACK? WILL I GET ANY MONEY OR REBAG CREDIT BACK?
When you return an item bought via a Trade, Rebag will refund you the cash you paid when placing the initial order and any Trade adjustment fee you may have paid. The Rebag credit value of the item you traded in will be refunded via Rebag Credit only, available for a future purchase. When you place a Trade order, send your items to Rebag and receive the things you’ve purchased; Rebag owns the items you’ve sent to Rebag and cannot be returned to you.
WHAT IS THE TRADE TAX ADJUSTMENT LINE ITEM APPEARING ON THE LAST CHECKOUT STEP? WHY AM I BEING CHARGED ADDITIONAL TAXES?
Depending on your shipping address, you may or may not benefit from sales tax savings when you place a Trade order. You’re only charged taxes on the remaining balance when you benefit from it. When you don’t, you’re charged sales tax on the total purchase price (minus promotional discount) of the items you buy. Our system automatically calculates taxes on the difference, so we have to charge additional taxes in the latter case.
