WHY ARE WE ADDING CONSIGNMENT?

With the launch of consignment, Rebag became the most flexible place to sell luxury goods. Choose between three easy methods–Consign, Trade, and Buyout–and be empowered to control how you sell, what you earn, and how quickly you are paid.

WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF CONSIGNMENT VS OTHER OPTIONS?

Consigning your item allows you to maximize your payouts potentially. Consignors will be offered attractive commission rates, allowing Rebag to aim for the highest payouts during the consignment window. You can find more information on the benefits of each option here.

CAN I CONSIGN MORE THAN ONE ITEM?

You can consign many items if they are within the brands and models we accept. Each item will have its own minimum and maximum payout range.

CAN I CONSIGN SOME ITEMS AND SUBMIT OTHERS FOR BUYOUT?

When submitting an item for a quote, you will receive three options: consignment, trade, and buyout. You can choose either of these three options for each item you submit.

HOW WILL I BE PAID FOR MY CONSIGNMENT ONCE IT SELLS?

Payout will be deposited as 'Cash' in the Wallet section of your Rebag.com account 15 days after your item has sold. The exact payout is guaranteed once your item sale is finalized. With Premium Payouts, you can receive an additional 1% per month on the Seller Funds in your Wallet for up to 12 months.

ONCE AN ITEM IS LISTED, IS IT GUARANTEED THAT IT WILL SELL?

We aim to sell your item for the maximum price. The vast majority of items typically will get sold. Occasionally, we may not be able to sell an item and in that event, it will be returned to you.

CAN THE PAYOUT RANGE CHANGE OVER TIME AFTER I CONSIGN MY ITEM?

Rebag will notify you if it becomes necessary to reduce the price to a point where it would alter your pre-approved range. At that time, you can request a return of your item free of charge.

CAN I CHANGE A CONSIGNMENT TO BUYOUT?

It is not possible to change the type of the order. Once you accept an offer as consignment, we cannot change the type to buyout.

WHAT IS REBAG'S COMMISSION STRUCTURE?

Commission rates are the fees you pay based on your item's listing price and category. You’ll pay less for in-demand, high-value pieces (as low as 8%) and more for lower-value items. Most items will typically fall in the 15-25% range. Look at our Commission Rates chart for an indicative overview of rates broken out by category and net sales price. Actual commission rates will be communicated individually for each quoted item

HOW DO DISCOUNTS AND PROMOTIONS AFFECT ME?

Your commission rate is applied to the net sales price of your item, which corresponds to the selling price minus any discounts. The payout range we communicate to you when you receive your consignment offer considers our typical discount schedule, so there is no need to worry about the discounts you see on the website. We will only let customers use a discount if their payout remains in the initial pre-approved range.

CAN REBAG CHANGE THE PRICE OF MY ITEM?

Rebag can only change the item's listing price if the consignor payout remains in the pre-approved range after the price change. When we agree on the initial payout range, we take into account that listing prices have to be decreased on occasion. If we find that the item will need a price decrease that will impact your payout range, we will always notify you first. At that time, you may request your item back free of charge.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY CONSIGNMENT ITEM TO SELL?

The selling time will depend on the desirability of the item. Highly sought-after items may sell during the first few days, while others may need a few weeks. On average, we aim to sell most items within the first 90 days without having to impact your payout range

WHERE CAN I TRACK MY SALES AND THE STATUS OF MY CONSIGNMENT ITEM?

Visit your account's ‘Consignment’ section to view your commission, expected payout, current listing price, and the status of your consigned items.

WHAT IF I DECIDE I WANT MY ITEM BACK THAT I CONSIGNED?

Change your mind? No problem! Visit your account's ‘Consignment’ section to request a return of your item at any time. Request a return while still eligible for a payout in your pre-approved range (typically valid for about 90 days). You will be subject to a processing fee of 3% of the item’s listing price at the time of the request, with a minimum of $50 and a maximum of $300, plus a $50 shipping fee, to compensate for the time spent inspecting, preparing, listing and delisting your item. If you have received an email notifying you of a change in your payout range, you can request a return of your item free of charge.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE BUYER OF MY ITEM DECIDES TO RETURN IT?

After the item is sold, there is a 15-day period during which the sale is pending confirmation from the buyer. It is possible that the buyer cancels their purchase, and we will relist the item as a result. Once the 15-day pending period has passed, your proceeds are automatically deposited in your Rebag Wallet. At that point, the proceeds are yours permanently, and Rebag will handle any potential returns from there!
