Information about account and magazine credits

Updated over a month ago

You can always see your credits under the settings menu, in the app.

Recently has two types of credits: Account and Magazine.

Account Credits are dollar amounts from a gift certificate or a reimbursement.

Magazine Credits are for cycles you didn't remember to publish, we know people get busy!

If you update, or cancel a membership your active magazine credits will be converted to an account credit, which can be used to publish magazines at a non-membership price.

Notes:

Magazine credits are valid for 12 months. Unfortunately we cannot retain credits indefinitely, because we rely on print volume to achieve lower printing rates for Recently users and counterbalance rising costs.

Recently started as a subscription/membership service when it started in 2015. Initially it was just a monthly cycle, where new families could track their baby's growth in printed albums. We quickly realized that users needed more time than the month to upload their magazine, so we created a credit system that allowed any missed months/quarters to be published for up to a 12 months giving the user much more time to publish.
