Xero Subscription Downgrade Not Reflected in Rechargly

Why your Xero downgrade may not show immediately in Rechargly.

If you’ve recently downgraded a Xero subscription and noticed that Rechargly is still charging the previous amount, here’s what to check:

What’s happening:

Rechargly calculates charges based on the actual Xero invoices that are forwarded to us. If a downgrade was made in Xero, it will only affect future invoices - not ones that were already generated before the change.

What to do:

  1. Confirm the downgrade in Xero – Check that the plan has been successfully downgraded in your Xero account.

  2. Wait for the next invoice – The change will apply to the next invoice Xero generates. Once it’s forwarded to Rechargly, the new (lower) amount will appear.

  3. Review existing charges – If an agreement in Rechargly is showing the old amount, it’s likely from an invoice issued before the downgrade.

If you’re unsure which invoice was used or need help verifying the charges, contact us via chat or email and we’ll take a look for you.
