How to update a client's credit card details
If you need to change a client's payment card there are three options. We recommend letting the client update their own details when possible.
Option 1 β Let the client update their card (recommended)
Go to the Agreements page:
Search for the client.
Click Copy Link next to their agreement.
Send the link to the client so they can securely update their billing details themselves.
Option 2 β Update yourself via Stripe (card only)
Open your Stripe Customer Dashboard
Find the customer (filter by email).
Scroll to Payment methods.
Click the three dots and update or add a new card, then make it the default payment method.
Option 3β Update yourself via Rechargly Agreement
Go to the Agreements page:
Search for the client.
Click Copy Link next to their agreement.
Update the billing method
Go into the Stripe Customer Dashboard and ensure the latest invoice has been collected
Once the new payment method is saved and set as default it will be used for future invoices and payments. If you need help, reply here and we will assist.
