Accessing invoices for clients with multiple Rechargly entities

How client's can search for their invoices if they have the same email address for multiple agreements.

If a client is linked to more than one agreement in Rechargly and the same email address has been used across those agreements, their invoices may difficult to search for. This article explains why that happens and how to access the correct invoices.

Why invoices don’t always appear together

In Rechargly, a client can have multiple organisations mapped to them. If multiple organisations are mapped to the same client record, only one Stripe customer is created and all invoices will appear together. If organisations are mapped to separate client records, even if they use the same email address, multiple Stripe customers are created.

How to access invoices for each agreement

  1. Go to the Agreements page in Rechargly and search for the client.

  2. Locate each agreement. If the same email has been used across multiple client records, you will see separate agreements listed.

  3. Click Copy Link on each agreement and send the relevant URL to your client. They will need to open each agreement page individually.

  4. On the agreement page, open the invoice, click the […] menu, and select Download PDF to save a copy.

Best practice going forward

If a firm wants all invoices grouped together, make sure multiple organisations are mapped to the same client record in Rechargly.

Pro tip

If Stripe’s setting to email invoices after successful payment is enabled, clients can search their inbox for past invoices as a quick fallback option.
