When you sign up to Rechargly, you must connect your client’s accounting software. Below is a summary of what endpoint we need access to and why:
Endpoint | Description | Documentation |
Settings | We access organisational information like currency, country code, entity, and company name. | Xero Organisation documentation [link] |
Invoices & Attachments | We create a bill on your clients' accounts, attach the PDF invoice, and reconcile the transaction when the payment is detected. | |
Transactions | Scan your software transactions and ensure the correct amounts are recharged. | Xero Bank Transactions endpoint documentation |
Why do we need to connect your client's Xero file?
We access the country location of each client (CountryCode) to determine the tax rate applicable to them.
Improve the accuracy of recharging calculations by triangulating information from the software vendor’s CSV/Invoice, the firm and client’s accounting software.
Ensure that each recharge is appropriate and compliant with legal standards.
Firm-level data on benchmarking and insights on software you can recharge in the future.
Can we limit the scope of data access to only what is necessary?
Yes, we only have access to the endpoints we need access to. We don’t have access to sensitive information such as payroll or personal employee information. We limit our data access to only what is essential for the recharging and reconciliation. This typically includes bills, transactions, attachments for recharging, and invoices for setting up recurring invoices and reconciling the payment when the money comes in.
