charge X full month and set next bill until MM/DD/YYYY
Used for presale-style billing: charge a fixed number of full monthly cycles up front, then delay recurring billing until the configured future date window.
Required values
X = number of full monthly fees to charge today.
MM/DD/YYYY = target date used to set the unit's next bill date.
How next bill date is set
Core moves the next bill date to the first matching draft day on or after MM/DD/YYYY.
How this setting applies discounts
The discount's join amount still applies today (it can reduce the join fee due now).
The discount's recurring and subsidy amounts do not reduce the amount charged today when this setting is active.
Those recurring and subsidy amounts are still saved on the unit and used for future bills.
Interaction with other discounts on the unit
Other discounts still apply; for today's charge, Core skips only the discount with this advanced setting.
Other behavior and limits
This setting only works for monthly billing.
This setting only works when the discount is first added to a new or existing unit
Example:
ācharge 3 full month and set next bill until(insert date)
force membership type ID NN
Used in situations where you want anyone with this discount to be in a specific membership type. For example, some large corporate membership types.
Required values
NN is the membership type ID that the unit will be forced to be on.
Example:
āforce membership type ID 12
