Connecting your Enphase system to RECmint
Start the connection from your RECmint account, not from the Enphase app or the Enphase website. Starting on the Enphase side sets up an older, different connection that doesn't give us what we need.
To connect an Enphase system:
Sign in to your RECmint account, click Provide access, then Link my Enphase Enlighten account.
You'll be sent to Enphase to sign in with your Enphase login details.
Approve access for RECmint.
If you have one system, that's it — your production data reaches us automatically from then on.
If you have another system under the same Enphase account that we also need access to, tell us and we'll set that one up as well.
"You don't own a system" when you connect Enphase
The most common cause of a "you don't own a system" message when connecting Enphase is signing in with the wrong Enphase account. Only one Enphase account per household can be given this access, so if there's more than one in yours — a spouse's, or an older email address of your own — your system may be set up under the other one. Check which of your email addresses has emails from Enphase, and sign in with that one.
If you're already using the right account, this message means that account isn't set as the owner of your system. Installers sometimes keep owner permission on their own account and give the homeowner a lower level of access. Ask your installer to upgrade your Enphase Enlighten account to owner access, then start the connection again from your RECmint account. If your installer won't do it, tell us. We can get access another way.
If your Enphase connection stops working
An Enphase connection can drop if you change your Enphase password, or if access is withdrawn on the Enphase side. Reconnect from your RECmint account the same way you set it up the first time.
More often the system has simply dropped off your WiFi. In that case, getting the Enphase gateway back online is what fixes it.
You don't need to watch for this. We contact you if your production data stops reaching us.
If your installer never gave you an Enphase account
Some installers don't set up an Enlighten account for the homeowner and use their own app instead. Tell us and we'll arrange access with your installer directly — you don't need to create an Enphase account yourself.
