How to Customize the Application form in Recooty

Application forms in Recooty are job-specific, helping you collect relevant information from candidates efficiently.

Access Application Form

  1. Log in to your Recooty account.

  2. Access the Application Form:

    • For specific jobs: The application form appears in the “Post a Job” section, right after filling in the job details. This is the second step in the job posting process.

    • For creating templates: Navigate to Settings ➡ Templates ➡ Application Form to create reusable templates for multiple job postings.

Start with a Default Template

Recooty provides a default template, which includes the following fields for every application form:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Email Address

  • Mobile Number

  • Resume Upload

Customizing the Application Form while posting a job

You can choose to fully customize the form according to the role’s requirements. Here’s how:

Add/Edit Questions

  1. Click Add a New Question on the form.

  2. Choose from AI-based question suggestions on the right-hand side or write your own question.

  3. Customize question settings:

    • Select the Question Type: Choose from options like Text Field, Paragraph, Dropdown, Date, Yes/No, Checkbox, Radio Button, File Upload, etc.

    • Mark as Required or Optional: Decide if the field is mandatory for candidates to complete.

    • Knockout Questions: If the question type is Yes/No, you can enable a knockout option:

      • For example: Add a question like, “Do you have 3+ years of experience in this role?”

      • Mark it as Required and checkmark the filed Auto Reject if ‘No’ is chosen.

      • Candidates selecting “No” will appear in the Auto Rejected section for that specific job role.

Using Pre-Built Templates

Save time by using role-based Pre-Built Templates for application forms. These templates:

  • Contains editable fields that you can adjust for role-specific information.

  • Allow you to maintain consistency across similar roles.

To use a pre-built template, click Import from Existing Templates at the top of the Application Form tab and select the template you wish to use.

Custom Templates for future use

  • Navigate to Settings ➡ Templates ➡ Application Form.

  • Click Create New Form to start customizing the template.

  • Assign a specific template name for easy identification (e.g., "Human Resources Application Form").

  • Add fields by following the same steps listed above for customization.

  • Save and Use:

    • Once created, these templates can be directly imported into any new job posting.

    • To delete or edit a saved template, simply click the Edit or Delete icon next to the template.

Track Candidate Answers

  • Candidate answers to custom questions will be displayed under the Home >Specilfic Job Role > Candidate Application >Profile section.

With these simple steps, you can fully customize application forms in Recooty, ensuring they suit the role’s requirements!
