How to Automatically Add a RecView Transcription Bot to Your Calls

We’re excited to share a new feature we think you’re going to love. Now, you can easily invite RecView’s smart transcription bot to your calls—no extra steps required!


Overview

By adding candidate@recview.ai or client@recview.ai to any calendar invite (Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook), RecView will automatically:

  1. Join the call as a smart transcription bot

  2. Save the video and transcript directly to your RecView account

  3. Update your CRM with the transcript (if connected)

Zoom support is coming soon, so stay tuned!


Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Create Your Calendar Event

    • Schedule your meeting in Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook just as you normally would.

  2. Invite RecView Bot

  3. Check Your RecView Account

    • After the meeting, the video and transcript will automatically appear in your RecView account.

    • If your CRM is connected, the transcript will also be added there for easy reference.


Important: Reconnect Your Calendar

If you haven’t reconnected your calendar this year, please head to your RecView Settings. We’ve introduced new permissions to access events in real-time, so it’s essential to reconnect your calendar to keep everything running smoothly. (If you're not sure whether you need to, reconnect anyway to be on the safe side.)

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need to log in to RecView to use this feature?
No. Simply invite candidate@recview.ai or client@recview.ai to your calendar event, and RecView will handle the rest.

2. Where can I find the meeting transcript and recording?
They’ll automatically save to your RecView account. If your CRM is connected, the transcript will also appear there.

3. What about Zoom calls?
Support for Zoom is rolling out in the coming weeks. Keep an eye on our release notes!

4. How do I reconnect my calendar?
Navigate to your RecView Settings and look for the Calendar Integration or Calendar Sync option. Follow the prompts to approve the new permissions.
