RecView for iOS – Quick Support Guide

Welcome to RecView! This guide will help you get up and running on iOS, covering core features, common tasks, and troubleshooting tips.


1. Getting Started

  1. Install & Sign In

    • Download RecView from the App Store.

    • Open the app and sign in with your RecView account credentials.

  2. Grant Permissions

    • Microphone: Required for live meeting recordings.

    • Files: Required to upload existing call recordings.

    • Notifications: Optional, enables recording complete and insights alerts.


2. Recording a Live Meeting

  1. Tap New Recording on the Home screen.

  2. Press the Record button to start capturing audio.

  3. Use the Pause and Resume controls as needed.

  4. Tap Stop & Transcribe when finished.

  5. The app uploads the file, transcribes the audio, and generates insights automatically.

Tip: Keep the device close to speakers for best audio quality.


3. Uploading a Phone Call

  1. Tap Upload Recording on the Home screen.

  2. Browse Files or select from recent call-recording apps.

  3. Confirm the file and tap Upload.

  4. The transcription and insights process runs in the background.


4. Viewing Transcripts & Insights

  1. Go to History to see past recordings.

  2. Select a session to open the Transcript view.

  3. Tap the Insights tab to view:

    • Keyword Cloud

    • Sentiment Score

    • Follow‑up Flags

  4. Highlight text to add comments or share snippets with teammates.


5. Exporting to Your ATS/CRM

  1. Inside a session, tap Export.

  2. Choose your CRM/ATS (e.g., Salesforce, Greenhouse, Workday).

  3. Map transcript fields to CRM record fields.

  4. Tap Sync, then confirm in the destination app.

Note: Ensure you have configured API access in RecView Web Dashboard under Integrations.


6. Settings & Preferences

  • Audio Quality: Switch between Standard or High Fidelity.

  • Transcription Language: English (EN), Spanish (ES), or French (FR).

  • Notifications: Enable/disable alerts for completed transcriptions.

Access these under SettingsPreferences.


7. FAQs & Troubleshooting

  • Recording Failed?
    • Verify microphone permission under iOS SettingsRecViewMicrophone.
    • Check available storage on your device.

  • Transcription Taking Too Long?
    • Ensure a stable internet connection.
    • Large files may take longer; try High-Speed Wi-Fi.

  • CRM Sync Errors?
    • Confirm API credentials in the Web Dashboard.
    • Check network connectivity.

  • App Crashes or Bugs?
    • Update to the latest version from the App Store.
    • Contact support with a crash log (Settings → Send Feedback).
