RecView's mobile app allows you to record phone calls directly from your iPhone and seamlessly sync them with your CRM. This guide will walk you through setting up call recording, understanding the legal protections in place, and how to get your recordings into RecView for transcription and analysis.
RecView uses apples built in phone recording feature meaning 3 things:
Your legal bases are covered as the receiver is notified of the recording (don't use products that don't use this - it is very illegal and no one likes to get sued)
No VoiP required - you can use your mobile as normal, no dial in voips or dodgy lines and best of all you can use your own number.
The quality is next level! If you can't hear the other end of the line there's a good chance that the AI can't either.
To get going:
Download the app from the app store - search RecView - we are the first one there, just make sure that it hasn't autocorrected to "review".
Login with your RecView email and password:
Once logged in you can use out built in recorder to record live meetings or candidate notes or you can send call recordings directly to the app.
Why this makes sense:
The issue with voips is that you can't use your number and the line quality isn't great. To combat this we use apples built in phone recorder.
All you need to do is hit the record button on the top left on the call:
Please note: The person on the other end of the line will be notified of the recording - this is a good thing as it means you are adhering to legal standards.
We recommend: Letting the user know that you will record, I find it best to say something along the lines off: If it's ok I'm going to just record this call, it won't go anywhere it's just so that I don't need to take notes!
You'll find most people are fine with this once you explain why you're recording.
And finally sending to RecView and your CRM
This will automatically add your recording to your notes, from there as it's easy as sharing it directly to the RecView app, and we'll do the rest.

All you need to do is search for the candidate or client In RecView and we'll do the rest. If there is no candidate/contact associated with that email we will add them into your connected CRM/ATS.
If you're out and about, you can easily add the email in RecView at a later date and then we'll sync the call transcript across then!
Like videos, you can use our templates or your own to create all types of summaries, write ups or notes!
