How Do I Select a Different Question Type When Building a Form

Redlist's Form Builder provides users with nine different question types to capture information.

Redlist's Question types can be found by following the steps below

Step 1: Navigate to the Form Builder

Step 2: Navigate to a question and click "Edit"

Step 3: Click on the Question Dropdown button

Question Types:

1: Information

This question type provides users with information relevant to the form they are filling out.

2: Text

This question type allows users to enter short, one-line responses.

Note - Using the "Input Type" dropdown ensures that users can only submit the right type of data.

3: Text Area

This question type allows users to enter longer responses that span multiple lines.

4: Checkbox

This question type allows users to check off an item

5: Select Button

This question type allows users to select an option(s) from a customized set of options

Note - Maximum of 5 options are allowed. Checking the "Enable Multi Select" box allows users to select more then one answer

6: Radio Button

This question type allows users to select one option from a set of mutually exclusive options.

7: Dropdown

This question type allows users to select one option from a dropdown menu.

Note - Users can create their own custom options to choose from. Users also have the ability to access list of information stored in their account as options for the dropdown by using the "Use Existing Items" dropdown. Depending on the existing item chosen, further filters are available to filter the options in the dropdown list. Ex. "Asset Type" and "Client" filters.

8: Signature

This question type allows users to capture signatures electronically

9: Image/Video

This question type allows images and videos to be embedded in the form for users to reference

Note - Users can select which side of the form the photo or video shows on by using the "Image/Video Side" toggle.
