In the Redlist form builder, users can utilize the "Required" question logic to set when a question must be answered in order to submit a form. This logic can be either static or conditional, depending on the user's preference. To make a question required on a form, first go to the form builder and find the question to configure Required logic on.

Setting Conditional Logic:

Step 1: Set to Conditional

Select "When" in the "Required" dropdown

Step 2: Select which question the required logic is dependent on

Step 3: Select when current question will be required

To have the question required when a specific answer is given, select "Any of the following answers (specified below)" option in the "Answered with" dropdown.

Then select which answers will make the current question required

Ex. In the screenshot above, the question that the required logic is being setup on will now be required when the "INSPECT ENGINE MOUNTS" question is answered as "FAIL"

To have the question required when no answer is given, select "No answer (question is left unanswered/blank)

Step 4: Click "Done"

Setting Static Logic:

If the user chooses to use static logic, the question will always be required in order to submit the form.

Step 1: Set to Static

Select "Always" or "Never" in the "Required" dropdown to make the current question always required or never required

Step 2: Click "Done"
