Redlist's form builder uses questions to capture and display information to users. This article provides an overview of common elements found in all question types.

Label

The label is the question or information that users will see when viewing the question in the app. It should be clear and concise to avoid confusion.

Placeholder

The placeholder is a sample answer displayed in gray text that disappears when the user begins to enter their answer. It can be used to provide an example of the type of answer that should be provided.

Question Type Dropdown

The question type dropdown allows users to select the type of question to add to their form. This ensures that data is collected in a way that makes sense for the specific information being gathered.

Question Logic

Question logic helps ensure that the correct information is captured in a form and that appropriate follow-up actions are taken based on that information. There are eleven different types of logic available in Redlist, including Required, Associate, Visible, and Notification.

Additional Question Information

Users can add additional context to a question using the "Additional Question Information" feature. This information can be seen by users as they are submitting the form, and can provide helpful context for the question being asked.
