The Import tool in Redlist is a powerful feature that allows users to upload large amounts of data into their accounts. This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to use the Import tool.
Step 1: Access the Import Tool
To access the Import tool, click on the "Admin" button. Then select "Import"
Step 2: Click on "Import Data"
Step 3: Select the Data Type
After clicking on the "Import Data" button, you will see a modal with different data types that can be imported. Click on the data type that you want to import then click "Next"
After selecting a data type, a blue outline will appear on the data type you selected
Step 4: Upload Your .CSV File
Click on the "Upload File" button and select the file you want to upload from your computer. After uploading your file, then click "Next."
To import data into Redlist, you have two options: you can either use Redlist's templates to format your data or you can upload your own .csv file. If you choose to upload your own .csv file, you will need to map your fields to the corresponding fields in Redlist's import tool before importing.
Step 5: Map Data Fields
If necessary, map the headers from your .CSV file to the corresponding Redlist System field and then click "Next."
Step 6: Review Import Data
After uploading your file, Redlist will validate the data and identify any errors you may have in your data. Review your data and click "Import" to upload your data.
If there are any errors in your import file, they can be downloaded, corrected and reimported.
