After uploading a non Redlist template into Redlist's import tool, you need to map your file headers to the corresponding data fields in Redlist. This article provides step-by-step instructions for mapping headers.

Step 1: Upload your file into the import tool

Once you upload the file, the system will take you to the "Mapping Data" modal of the Import Data tool.

Step 2: Map CSV Headers to System Fields

There are three columns in the mapping table. The left column displays the csv headers from your file. The middle columns shows Redlist System Fields that can be mapped to. And the Right column give a short explanation of the Redlist System Field

Redlist will automatically match any CSV headers and System Fields that have identical names

Step 3: Validate Data

After mapping and reviewing the data, click on the "Next" button to validate the data

All required fields must be mapped before validating the data. If a required field is unmapped there will be a red warning at the top of the table, and the "Next" button will be greyed out

Step 4: Finalize Import
