What does it do?

  1. When a return is created in Redo, Redo tells ShipHero that a return is in progress.

  2. When an item gets back to the warehouse, the ShipHero fulfillment team will update the status of the return.

    1. If it’s marked as completed, ShipHero tells Redo to process the return for any items that were approved/complete in ShipHero. Redo also shows the ShipHero return ID in the comments in Redo.

    2. If an item is not approved in ShipHero then the return will be flagged in Redo for manual processing.

How to set it up?

  1. The merchant has to create a new user for Redo. They then need to issue the refresh token for the Redo user.

Notes

  • When setting up an integration with ShipHero, it is highly recommended to turn off automated restocking.

  • Automations for processing in Redo are still fine. It just processes in Redo but leaves the return as “In progress” in ShipHero (uncertain of the exact status title in ShipHero)

How it works

The list below describes how the Redo-ShipHero integration functions within the returns workflow:

  1. The customer submits a return to Redo.

  2. The creation of a return triggers Redo’s Webhook feature.

  3. The webhook data creates a return merchandise authorization (RMA) in ShipHero.

  4. The warehouse receives the return package.

  5. The warehouse updates the return status in ShipHero.

  6. The ShipHero webhook triggers a process or flag event within Redo based on warehouse status.

  7. Based on warehouse status, Redo will either:

    1. Process the return and action on any exchange order, gift card, or refund. Processing happens if a) the ShipHero status is Complete and b) the number of returned items matches the number of expected items.

    2. Flag the return for manual review if the ShipHero status is Incomplete or the number of returned items does not match the number of expected items.

  8. The return is complete.
